Career Overview

David Scouton has been licensed to practice law in Minnesota since 2000. He is also licensed to practice in North Dakota and Wisconsin. Prior to joining Thibodeau, Johnson & Feriancek, PLLP, Mr. Scouton was a partner at Foley & Mansfield, where he managed the firm’s Toxic Tort and Products Liability Group for its Minneapolis office. Mr. Scouton has attended hundred s of deposition involving asbestos plaintiffs and fact witnesses in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. He prepares corporate witnesses and defends their depositions. He represents clients that range from local contractors to Fortune 500 companies. His trial experience includes second/third chair, motion practice and witness preparation.

Mr. Scouton is a cum laude graduate of St. Cloud State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Mr. Scouton received his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He started his legal career as a plaintiff’s attorney at Meshbesher & Spence.
